Those who have already read this book should know that the narration isn't as straightforward as I tried to make it and that you can completely understand the book once you've fished it, and, maybe, after some time spent reflecting about the themes in the story.
Personally, I think Palahniuk is a great author, who can touch many themes using sentences that manage to surprise the reader by the way they reflect so accurately his habits.
Everytime I read something from Palahniuk I always find myself with the same question: is his cynism just pure apathy or does he want to move our consciousness?

Nel mio precedente post ho cercato di rendere il più possibile lo stile dell'autore, il quale non è affatto facile sia nella trama che nei contenuti.
Chi si è gia cimentato in questa lettura saprà che la narrazione non è lineare come ho cercato di renderla e che è comprensibile pienamente soltanto a romanzo terminato e, magari, dopo una riflessione riguardo i temi toccati dall'autore.
Personalmente, ritengo Palahniuk un autore degno di stima, in grado di toccare svariate tematiche utilizzando frasi ad effetto che hanno la funzione di 'frecciatine' al lettore, che continua a sorprendersi di quanto egli riesca a descriverlo nelle sue minime sfaccettature.
Ogni volta che concludo una lettura di questo autore, torno sempre allo stesso punto interrogativo: il cinismo che utilizza per parlare della realtà in cui viviamo è pura apatia o vuole smuovere le nostre coscienze?
